Dark Future is a browser-based crime & mafia MMORPG — a loving recreation of the classic mid-2000s game dark-future.org. Everyone shares one persistent city: commit crimes, climb the ranks, run contraband, and watch your back on the streets.

• Commit crimes across 8 world cities — every job trains your hidden Offensive, Defensive & Stealth stats.
• Climb 22 ranks, from Empty Suit all the way to Godfather.
• Run contraband — buy low in one city, haul it somewhere it's scarce, and sell high.
• Play the stock market, gamble (Russian Roulette, Blackjack, the Lottery…), and stash cash in the bank.
• Go to war — arm up, hunt rivals in your city, place bounties, and bust your crew out of jail.
• Form a crew, share a private forum, and run the streets together.

Dark Future is a fan project, still in beta. It's a non-commercial recreation built purely for fun — expect rough edges, balance tweaks, and the occasional data wipe while things settle. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the original dark-future.org.
